I’ve been fortunate to be able to help people do those three things for more than 25 years, as a golf coach, 3D swing analyst and short game advisor.
At my home base, Cog Hill Golf & Country Club outside Chicago, I have been teaching elite club players, tour professionals and promising juniors since 1997. Golf Digest has recognized me as one of the 50 Best Teachers in America every year since 2012, and I’ve been a member of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 since 2013. I was named the PGA of America’s National Teacher and Coach of the Year in 2023, and my peers in the Illinois PGA have also made me Section Teacher of the Year three times (2005-2007-2009) and the Youth Development Award winner in 2024.
My students range from elite juniors (more than 200 have gone on to play college golf, and 12 have become All-Americans) to PGA Tour players (nearly 100 through the years, including 12 winners). My teaching studio is one of the most advanced in the Midwest, with a GEARS 3D motion capture system, SAM PuttLab, Swing Catalyst dual-plate force analysis system and ForeSight launch monitors.
